TODAY'S REFLECTION - SATURDAY- 12TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME
First Martyrs of the Church of Rome
Lamentations 2:2,10-14,18-19/ Psalm 73:1-7,20-21/ Matthew 8:5-17

JESUS HAS THE POWER TO HEAL
Beloved, Judah was crushed, destroyed and suffered three deportations, in the hands of the Babylonians, due to the blatant infidelity of the people to God. In our today's first reading, the citizens are lamenting for what has happened to them. God certainly listened to their cry and answered at his own appropriate time.

Friends, the healing power and the universalistic salvific mission is manifested in our today's Gospel reading. A Roman Centurion humbly pleaded with Jesus to heal his servant. His plea was granted due to his humility and deep faith. Jesus also healed Peter's mother-in- law. Many people who were possessed by devils and other health related conditions received healing.

Let us pray for the grace to be faithful to God. We also pray for a deeper faith in the healing power of Jesus. BE BLESSED.
